Superior 1×4 No. 16 sewing machine needles – 25 pack

A 1×4 No. 16 needle is a flat shank, 16-size needle in the Groz‑Beckert 130/705H (also called HAx1 or 15×1) system. This needle size is 16 in the Groz‑Beckert numbering (which is the same as the 16 in the 130/705H system) and has a 1×4 shank (1×4 means 1 inch long, 4 mm diameter)

• Needle system: Groz‑Beckert 130/705H (HAx1 / 15×1) — a universal household needle system used by many brands
• Size: 16 in Groz‑Beckert terms = medium‑thick needle, suitable for medium‑weight fabrics like cotton, linen, and some woven fabrics
• Shank: Flat shank (HAx1) — the flat side faces the back of the needle clamp.

These are Flat Shank needles.

Because the 130/705H system is universal, many domestic and some vintage sewing machines will accept a 1×4 No. 16 needle. Common examples include:

• Singer models using the 130/705H system (e.g., Singer 130, 130‑series, many 1950s–1980s Singer home machines)
• Bernina, Juki, Pfaff, Consew, Husqvarna‑Viking, Saurer, Seiko, and other brands that use the 130/705H system
• Many older Singer machines that were retrofitted with needle bars for flat shank needles

Check the documentation with your machine to determine the compatibility with this needle and your sewing machine.
