Needed for all Free Motion techniques on 300 and 400 series machines that do not have separate special throat plates. To insert, fully open the bobbin cover slide plate and place the raising plate in the slide way above the bobbin. Push the raising plate under the needle plate and close the bobbin cover plate. To remove, open the bobbin cover plate and pull the raising plate towards you
