Bernina Models 1530 and 1630 sewing machines are wonderful tools and are among some of the best sewing machines available.  However, these machines have one particular nagging problem.  The trackball used to move between the various options on the menus tends to develop movement issues as it ages.  This is easily repairable by replacing the trackball rollers on the trackball assembly.

Instead of leather, these replacement trackball rollers are made from high-density silicon that resists wear and developing flat spots that plague the original leather rollers.  Here is a link to a very good video that shows the steps required to put new trackball rollers on your Bernina 1530 and 1630 sewing machines.
